Brida

"DO YOU EVER BELIEVE IN SOULMATES?"

The story tells us about a twenty-year-old Irish girl Brida who paves her journey in search of experimenting with the perception of witchcraft realizing she has been a witch in all her previous incarnations. The main characters in the story are Brida, Magus, Wicca, and Lorens (Brida's boyfriend).

Brida initially meets a man named Magus (wizard) in a dark forest - who is renowned deeply with knowledge of magic to learn about the arts of "Tradition Of Moon" and "Tradition Of Sun". Magus becomes conscious that Birda is his soulmate as soon as she confronts him. He questions her about love and wisdom to which Brida chooses love over wisdom. Brida's determined affinity to explore the magic and spiritual aspects makes Magus impressed and accepts to teach her. On her primary trial, Magus leaves her alone for an overnight stay in the dark woods so that she could tolerate her fears and trust in the goodness of the world. Brida feels completely vulnerable and disappointed in the teaching trail with Magus.

Later, Brida finds a way to another teacher named Wicca (a tarot card reader) to explore her life journey to become a witch. Unknowingly Wicca is so stunned as Magus offers Brida to teach her, thinking that she might be a gifted soul. Wicca teaches her the tradition of the moon to which she learns how to dance to the hidden music of the world. Finally, Brida excels in her magic skills and craves a perfect balance in her life.

The main theme of the book is searching for the destiny and recognition of soulmate. The book is all stirred up with ingredients of magic, incarnations, spirituality, soulmates, and ritualistic scenes. Paulo Coelho enthralled the novel with the enlightenment of spiritual aspects.
